Sunburst Through the Maples

Sometimes, to see the true beauty of the world, you have to change your perspective—literally. I decided to get right down on the ground for this shot, and suddenly, a simple scattering of fallen leaves transformed into a towering landscape of gold and rust. From down here, the tree trunk looks like a massive pillar holding up the sky, and the sun peeking around the edge creates a dazzling starburst that lights up the veins in every single leaf. It’s a reminder that there is an entire world of detail and beauty right at our feet if we just take the time to look down.
